Gameplay
Story Levels
With a story spanning 4 worlds, 3 difficulties and 55 unique levels - with more to be added - the challenge never ends as you quest and battle against hordes of enemies ever increasing in strength. The Eternium Ascended story levels are designed to supply you with challenging content as you immerse yourself in the lore and collect powerful items to build out your character.
Trials
Once heroes are strong enough, the Trials provide wave after wave of monsters until you finally slice your way towards the boss. An endless sequence of ever increasing challenges are how heroes are made! The strongest adventurers will achieve fame by mastering the trials to climb the leaderboards.
Training Grounds
As you level up, you will wish to gain insight as well as power. Visit the Training Grounds to hone your understanding, skills, and strategies. Face off against a single enemy or multiple enemies in a scenario to manage your endurance or maximize damage dealt.
The Gauntlet
Arcade mode! Play for a high score, facing an endless onslaught of Ragadam’s minions. There is no escape! How high can you climb? We intend to enhance The Gauntlet and/or utilize this feature differently in Eternium Ascended. We invite the community to share their ideas!
Arena
Fight other players’ characters, which are controlled by the AI. The live web2 game has a fairly basic implementation of this feature, which we intend to expand considerably, including to potentially use this feature in other places. Again, we welcome input from the community.
Gone Rogue
Gone Rogue is a seasonal roguelite mode where players control a specialized hero to navigate through a series of challenging fractured realms. You start from scratch each run, strategically choosing branching paths and collecting temporary upgrades - such as skills, gear and blessings - that are lost upon death.
